Torcross is a small village in South Devon. It is in the
area of South Hams based at the southern end of Slapton
Sands. Torcross beach is famously known for the beach where
the D Day rehearsals wre performed. It also has Slapton
Ley Nature Reserve, a popular tourist spot for bird watchers
and walkers. There are many Torcross Holiday Cottages in
the area of Torcross beach, one of these being At the Beach,
a collection of self catering Torcross Apartments, on the
site of what was formally the Torcross Hotel. They are 5

4/6 guests, depending on the apartment. At the Beach apartments

panoramic coastal views. There is designated parking at
the rear of the property and all apartments come with bed
linens and towels for guests use, making At the Beach the
most exclusive Torcross accommodation. Torcross is a small

a pub called The Start Bay Inn. It is a friendly welcoming
pub and children are allowed. It serves lunchtime and evening
food and specialises in freshly caught fish of the day.
It also has a good selection of ales and ciders and there
is seating outside. Further afield there are other places
of interest. There is Woodland Theme Park for all the family
which includes a vast indoor play area, theme park rides
, animals plus a petting area. Paignton Zoo is also well
worth a visit for all the family, with many animals, play
areas and gift shop. Dartmouth Castle in Dartmouth is a

active service during the civil war and the castle itself
is a maze of passages, rooms and has many original artifacts
on show.
